This Statement of Need details a sound system replacement project for the Chapel at Columbus Air Force Base (AFB) in Mississippi. The project requires supplying and installing a new audio system to support worship services in a 56-feet by 35-feet chapel space, addressing current limitations with the existing system such as poor bass response, feedback issues, and uneven sound distribution. The required equipment includes two wall and two ceiling-mounted speakers with amplifiers, two wireless handheld microphones, two wireless lapel microphones, one gooseneck podium microphone, ADA-compliant hearing assistance, and system integration with the existing soundboard.

The project scope encompasses equipment supply, installation, training, and a three-year warranty. The contractor must provide on-site installation, testing, certification, and comprehensive training for personnel. Technical services are required for a minimum of one year post-installation, including 24-hour technical support and on-site troubleshooting. The installation must be completed by the end of the week of installation to ensure availability for weekend worship services, with specific coordination requirements to avoid disrupting chapel activities. The project must also comply with base fire regulations, green procurement policies, and safety standards.
