B454 Convert Hangar 4 to Wash Rack RFIs: Clarification

1. Question 1: I wanted to clarify Question #1 from the RFIs as well. The waterproofing/dampproofing is not only meant for the interior of the CMU wall inside the hangar, just that it must also be applied there. Per construction documents, these materials must be applied to the floors/walls in Rooms 106, 107, and 108 per sheet notes on various sheets, including A-401 and A-602.

2. The construction drawing reference the geotechnical report for earthwork guidance, but we cannot find the geotechnical report. Please provide the referenced geotechnical report.

Please see the attached geotechnical report.

Question 3: The geotechnical report was not attached, and we could not find it on sam.gov.

Clarification: Please see attachment section on SAM.

3. We could not find the specific insurance requirements for this project. Please provide the specific insurance required by the Government.

Certificate of Insurance Question 7: What are the workers comp and general liability limits required? Are Builders Risk and OCP insurance required?

Clarification: The Government required Certificate of Insurance that will cover the price of project. You will need to get with your insurer to make that determination. This document will be needed if awarded and before Notice to Proceed is issued.

4. The wall type to the left and right of the door at Room 117 PPE is not shown. Please clarify what the wall type is at this location.

Is this referring to the existing walls of Room 107? If so, this must be field verified by the contractor to ensure constructability.

Question 10: How can we field verify this wall? It doesn’t exist at this time. The wall type is not indicated on the plans. The door in this wall appears to be steel fabricated door, but there is no elevation view of the walls to the left and right of this door.

Clarification: I totally missed which wall this question was about, my apologies. Please see the photo below and the attached addendum to SheetA-401. In short, the answer is that both the partition and door are intended to be steel framed steel expanded metal (similar to the image below) to permit air movement for PPE drying while providing the security required by the user group.
