IT Support & Network Operations (NetOps) Infrastructure Equipment
# Question Answer
1.
Item 4.17, Wi-Fi Heat Mapping License: does the license need to be permanent, or is a license that expires after a set term, one year for example, acceptable?
The license is a permanent version.
2.
Item 4.13, Monitor: Attachment 1 requires OLED in one bullet and "OLED or equivalent high-contrast panel technology" in the next. Is a non- OLED equivalent acceptable?
Must utilize OLED or equivalent high-contrast panel technology. Please see Amendment 001 for revised Attachment 1.
3.
Item 4.13, Monitor: Attachment 1 states minimum 120Hz, Attachment 3 states minimum 140Hz.
Which one is the correct one?
The correct specification is minimum 120hz.
Please see Amendment 001 for revised Attachment 1.
4.
Item 4.16, Tri-Band Network Analyzer: no make or model is given. Is any product meeting the stated capabilities acceptable?
Yes, as long as all technical specifications are met and is compatible with item 4.17, Wi-Fi Heat Mapping License.
5.
What should we send with the quote to show the items meet the requirements, manufacturer spec sheets or a line-by-line comparison?
At a minimum, vendors must fully complete Attachment 3 (Equipment List) by filling in the "Proposed Brand" and "Proposed Part / Model Number" columns for all twenty-seven (27) items.

Please note that this target date is an estimate and is strictly contingent upon the formal availability and allocation of appropriated funds.
Statement of Need (SON) For the
Medical Education and Training Campus, Consolidated IT Support & Network Operations (NetOps)
Infrastructure Equipment, 28 August 2026
1. Background and Purpose The modern enterprise campus network is a mission-critical utility that demands near-zero downtime. To support these operations, the Customer Service Branch (CSB) and Network Operations (NetOps) teams require standardized, professional-grade diagnostic equipment, hand tools, mobile transit platforms, and ergonomic support accessories.
Currently, technicians face significant operational challenges:
• Tool Fragmentation: The lack of standardized, high-quality kits results in inconsistent repair capabilities and delays in resolving critical IT and network issues.
• Campus Mobility Pain Points: Technicians routinely traverse expansive campus facilities and multiple floors. Transporting heavy diagnostic hardware, replacement units, and hand tools manually leads to physical fatigue, increased risk of accidental equipment drops, and extended Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
• Workplace Ergonomics and Safety: Field engineering tasks expose personnel to repetitive strain, eye fatigue, and hazardous physical environments (e.g., active construction zones or high-voltage wiring areas). Standardizing on ergonomics and personal protective equipment (PPE) is critical to ensuring OSHA compliance and preventing injury.
This consolidated Statement of Need establishes a unified procurement baseline to equip field technicians with high-capacity wheeled tool transport, advanced RF/Ethernet diagnostic systems, heavy-duty mobile carts, centralized secure storage, and compliant personal protective equipment. Standardizing this inventory directly mitigates operational risks, improves rapid-response capabilities, protects high-value network hardware during transit, and provides a safe work environment.
2. Scope This requirement covers the acquisition of brand-agnostic technical tools, specialized diagnostic instruments, storage infrastructure, and safety accessories, split into two primary operational areas:
• Section A (Tier 2 IT Support): High-capacity wheeled tool systems, professional precision and standard hand toolsets for 24 technicians, heavy-duty campus transit carts, and high-capacity secure locking cabinets for centralized inventory control.
• Section B (Network Operations & CSB Operations): Advanced tri-band network and wireless spectrum analyzers, professional cable labeling and termination equipment, ultra-wide ergonomic command-center displays, industrial ladders, facility cleaning hardware, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
3. Equipment Summary & Quantities To ensure open, competitive, and compliant sourcing, all requested items are identified by technical performance capabilities and dimensional criteria. No proprietary manufacturer part numbers or commercial retail sources apply.
