QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Cut-off date for contractor questions is: 12:00 PM CST, 14 August 2020.

Questions Question 6: We are currently thinking there are two (2) trailers, and each trailer has three (3) private restrooms with shower and one of them is to be ADA compliant. Is this correct? If not, can they please inform us with what rooms they would like in each trailer? (it may help if they also specify whether both trailers are supposed to be, essentially, the same or not)

Government Response: That is correct, two (2) trailers with three (3) private restrooms with toilet/shower/sink and one of them is to be ADA compliant. Additionally, both trailers are supposed to be, essentially, the same.

Question 7: There’s no detail on the layout at the site. Is there any reason we can’t bid ONE ramp and we orient the trailers to face each other, sharing this one ramp, rather than having two separate ramps?

Government Response: One trailer is to be for males and one for females. Physical separation of these trailers is required to mitigate any cross pollination from different genders. This physical separation also affords leadership better oversight.

Question 8: There is a mention of a “fire hydrant”. Is this really supposed to be a connection point by which firefighters can tap into a water supply? Or are they meaning something different?

Government Response: This mention is so a fire hydrant may be utilized to supply water to the trailers, not by which a fire fighter will be tapping into the water supply of the trailer itself. See response to Question 9.

Question 9: It says they are responsible for final connections. However, each plumbing fixture needs to be tied together (manifolded) on site. Who would be responsible for that?

Government Response: The government i.e. Civil Engineering will be responsible for hooking up the trailer to water sources. Contractor will be responsible for ensuring the trailers is ready for hook-up.

Question 10: We assume we would not be responsible for the electrical connections. Is that correct?

Government Response: The government i.e. Civil Engineering will be responsible for electrical connections but will need to be advised on electrical specifications so they are prepared to hook up the trailers.

Question 11: No where do we see any mention about anchors or blocking. Shall we assume these are implied and should be included?

Government Response: Yes, these are implied and should be included to provide for stability of the trailers.
