Question 11: “They appear to spec K&L for the bedframe who recently went out of business. We don’t offer a bed that meet these specs. This bunk bed is asking for a round tube with steel decks and adjustable brackets.

Our bunk bed is a square tube bed with non-adjustable spring decks (see the attached description from GSA advantage). I talked to production and they can supply steel decks but they will not be adjustable.

Do you think JBSA Lackland would accept a bunk bed with non-adjustable steel decks as long as the overall length of the bed does not exceed 79” in length?

Please confirm if this is acceptable to the Government.

Government response: Square tubing is preferred, but must conform to specifications in RFQ. They do not have to be adjustable.

Question 12: Do you have floor and building plans (AS BUILT) including dimensions of doors and fire escapes?

Government response: Yes, but do not have “as built,” just floor plans. Reference the RT&H Floor Plans Attachment. The dimension of doors and fire escapes are listed below.

Doors: 34” w/ 82” h

Fire Escapes: 36”w/ 83” h

Question 16: We would like to seek further clarification to the response provided to Question #6 – relative to if the WOSB can only acquire product through another Small Business manufacturer. Per the attached clarification on the Waiver of the Nonmanufacturer Rule, for NAICS 337127, the NAICS code for this Solicitation, the SBA has determined that there are no small businesses in play and for this reason they have granted a waiver for this requirement. Accordingly, please confirm that the bidding WOSB can acquire products manufactured by a large business.

Government response: The NAICS 337127 along with the PSC 7125 requires products to be either manufactured by small businesses or purchased through a small business. For clarification please contact your local Small Business Administrator Business Opportunity Specialist (SBA BOS).
