About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract solicitation FA283526Q0019 addressing UPS Connections requirements. The document does not specify response dates, award dates, pricing terms, or set-asides, as these details are contained in other solicitation documents.
The Q&A clarifies key project parameters for contractors bidding on UPS connection work. An As-Built one-line drawing exists but cannot be shared for security reasons, and no UPS load study is currently available. The contractor is responsible for creating their own one-line diagram to verify equipment connections. Current system loading is estimated at 2.6 kVA with approximately 77.4 kVA of spare capacity, though the government notes this data requires contractor verification and additional panelboard data will be provided. The contractor must provide all electrical engineering and design services for review and approval by 66 ABG/CE and 66 ABG/SC project managers; stamped engineering drawings are not required. An Arc Flash Study is a Defense Acquisition Framework requirement but is not currently recommended by the government and is structured as an optional, separately-funded CLIN if needed. Previously, the majority of non-pink panelboards were connected to the primary UPS system.
