Question: Will the government require the use of a specific estimating software such as E 4Clicks, RS Means, etc. for this contract? If yes, please provide what software will be required to be used.
Answer: No estimating software will be required.
Question: Section 5.14 Exterior Tanks states: Contractor shall be required to clean and paint exterior tanks of different sizes. Painting of elevated water tanks and vertical fuel storage tanks are not included in the contract. Will the government require specialize painting of any other elevated structures such as antennas under this contract? If yes, the government needs to realize the price impact for contractors required to secure additional liability and workman’s compensation coverage for this type of work.
Answer: No other specialized painting of any other elevated structures will be required. Towers, antennas and other structures of this type will be addressed under an independent contract.
Question: Upon review of the RFP states, it states the maximum work height is 90' – if determined the actual surface to be painted has a height above 90’ --- will the government develop a multiplier to be used? Or, will that be based on a per task order level?
Answer: Work will not exceed the maximum height.
