Questions and Answers
1. Please provide a specification for the 4" thick foam-in-place insulation that is noted to be sprayed on the bottom of the lift platform. See Section cut B on sheet A5.
RESPONSE: Foam-in-place insulation shall be a two-component, water blown, low density, MDI-based polyurethane semi-rigid spray foam insulation, complying with ICC-ES, AC-377 (ESR-2668). Product shall be CertaSpray Open Cell Foam by CertainTeed Corporation, or approved equivalent, coated with spray foam manufacturer's intumescent coating (CertaCoat IC Intumescent Coating), per spray foam manufacturer's requirements.
2. Sections 05 12 00----Paragraph 1.2 on page 3 states that all work must be in accordance with AISC 360 or AISC certified firms and manufacturers. If this is the case, the spec will eliminate most firms in the Panhandle. And will affect the price considerably.
RESPONSE: We believe this is a sufficiently complex project to require the use of AISC Certified Firms.
