Chapter 1 DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES Comment by HARRIS, CORY E SrA USAF AFDW 316 CONS/PKB: Any cameras that need re-cabling will need that information provided. Comment by LYNN, CHAUN M SSgt USAF AFDW 1 HS/1 HS: I am not sure what cameras will need re-cabling. Comment by CHAD: North East Camera on Hangar 1 is analog and requires new CAT6A cabling.
1.1. Scope:
The contractor will provide all material, parts, cable (CAT6A), license, tools, labor and supervision to replace the existing analog video system with a new digital video system. If the cabling for any currently installed cameras is CAT6A this cabling can be reused, but if not, new CAT 6A cabling will need to be provided and installed accordingly. The camera described in Chapter 2 Paragraph 8 (North East Camera on Hangar 1) is currently an analog camera with coaxial cabling that will need to be replaced with CAT6A cabling. Existing conduit will be used for CAT6A routing, if new conduit needs to be ran the project manager will coordinate with the 316th Civil Engineering Squadron. The new system will be installed in an existing rack located in the IT closet in room 257 of building 1910. Along with the NVR a new network switch and KVM extender will be installed. A Network attached storage (NAS) will be installed and configured to allow for long term storage of recorded video clips. A new Video management system (VMS) workstation, 23-inch monitor and network switch will be installed in a location TBD in the SAF of building 1911. Once the new NVR and workstation are installed and properly communicating contractor will begin replacing the existing cameras and bringing the cameras online. The two existing pole cameras outside in the parking lot will be replaced with two outdoor 3x4k Multisensor cameras to provide a view of the parking lot and front of building 1910. The two fixed cameras in the front lobby of building 1910 will be replaced with one 360-degree camera to provide a view of all doors in the lobby. The two fixed cameras in receiving will be replaced by one 360-degree camera. The two fixed cameras outside and inside the door to room 251 will be replaced with dome cameras. The existing PTZ camera on the rear of building 1910 will be replaced with a PTZ with optical zoom. The two existing PTZ cameras in hanger 1 will be replaced with two PTZ with optical zoom. The two existing PTZ cameras outside hanger 1, on the catwalk will be replaced with two PTZ with optical zoom. The existing cameras on building 1911 will be replaced with one multi-sensor camera located on the SE corner of the building. One new bullet camera will be added to the NE corner of the building for a view on the gate on Maryland Dr. Once the new system is fully functional the components of the existing system will be removed and provided to the unit. A government representative will be trained on the operations and daily maintenance of the system. All work is to be performed at 1st Helicopter Squadron, Joint Base Andrews, MD. Comment by CHAD: Referencing question 6 from the post site visit questions, if this doesn’t need to be addressed in the PWS please remove verbiage. I will list this as a question in my email response to see if Civil Engineering, 744 CS (Mr. Reid), the awarded company for the project or whomever the assigned project manager needs to interface to get new conduits installed.
Comment by HARRIS, CORY E SrA USAF AFDW 316 CONS/PKB: Update camera amounts in reference to the additional camera need on the pole cameras below and any additional cameras that may be needed. Comment by LYNN, CHAUN M SSgt USAF AFDW 1 HS/1 HS: Updated to reflect additional multi sensor cameras.
