B420 Water Pumps FA2550-20-R-0002 GLEN 12-1027 RFI 001

NOTE: DUPLICATE QUESTIONS WERE REMOVED

01. Are there any isolation valves to be on the DDC system? None are currently shown, only pump control valves are shown.

CE Response: See below for picture of current HSQ system of Pump House. All pump control valves shall be shown, monitored and controlled by the DDC system in accordance to the design.

02. Is there a reason that all piping over 4” is shown to be ductile iron? Usually ductile iron is used below ground and exposed steel piping is not concrete lined. Can we use schedule 40 steel pipe with welded flanges in the pump room and Ductile iron for the 10 foot section outside the room?

CE Response: Please use piping called out in the design.

03. What DDC front end is currently used on the facility? Was the intent for a whole new front end to be installed to control this system or are we to integrate into an existing system?

CE Response: HSQ is already located on site but we are working on transferring more stuff to

SIEMENS. Please install/integrate controls for the pump house in accordance to the design.
