About this file
This file is an instruction document for submitting video content via unlisted YouTube videos as part of the technical proposal for the Civilian Guardian Course (CGC) Curriculum Development and Iteration solicitation (FA254926R0002). The document provides step-by-step guidance for vendors to create a YouTube channel, upload a video file, configure video settings in compliance with COPPA regulations, set the video visibility to "Unlisted," and obtain the shareable link for submission. Vendors must include the YouTube video link on the first page of their technical proposal or may email it to kelly.parker.6@spaceforce.mil. The preferred submission method is YouTube; however, if vendors encounter technical difficulties uploading to YouTube, they should contact the same email address with the error code to arrange an alternative submission method via Microsoft Teams.

Uploading an “Unlisted” Youtube Video for Submission Step 1: Accessing YouTube Studio (skip to Step 2 if you have a Channel already)
1. Go to YouTube and click Sign In in the top right corner.
2. Click on your Profile Picture in the top-right corner, then select YouTube Studio from the dropdown menu.
3. If prompted to "Create a Channel" confirm your channel name and click Create Channel. This sets up your creator workspace.
Step 2: Uploading Your Video
1. Initiate Upload: Click the “+Create” button in the top-right corner, then click “Upload videos”.
2. Select File: Click Select Files in the window that pops up, find the video file on your computer, and double-click it to start the upload; OR, drag and drop the file into the upload space.
Note: If your video is long or high-definition (HD/4K), it may take some time to process after uploading. During this time, the link might only play the video in lower resolution (SD).
Step 3: Configuring Video Details
1. Enter a Title and Description for your video. (You can also upload a thumbnail, but YouTube will automatically generate options for you once processing is complete).
2. Scroll down to the Audience section. You must select either "Yes, it's made for kids" or "No, it's not made for kids" to comply with COPPA regulations.
3. Click Next at the bottom right to make decisions on AI eligibility, copyright, etc. Each category will be explained as you go through.
4. Navigate to the final tab on the top stepper called “Visibility”.
5. Under the "Save or publish" options, select “Unlisted”. Unlisted means anyone with the direct video link can watch it. The video will not appear on your public channel page, in YouTube search results, or in user recommendations.
6. Click the blue Save or Publish button at the bottom right.
Step 4: Sharing Your Video After clicking Save, a pop-up window will appear confirming your video is uploaded. Look for the Video link (it looks like https://youtu.be/...) and click the overlapping squares icon next to it to copy it to your clipboard and paste it for submission.
Include the link to the video on the first page of your technical proposal. ‘ You may also email the link to kelly.parker.6@spaceforce.mil.
In the event you are unable to place your video on youtube, email Kelly.parker.6@spaceforce.mil with the error code and a teams meeting will be set up with the availability to submit your video.
The Preferred Method is You Tube.
