Responses to RFI for Solicitation - FA254320R0005 Overhead Doors.
1. Will the government consider extending the due date by two weeks to allow sufficient time for offerors to appropriately plan and prepare a response after attendance at the site visit and the government’s response to RFIs?
Answer: RFPs revised due date will be Monday, 11 November 2019 by 2:00pm MST.
2. We couldn’t find any reference to a bid bond, please confirm that a bid bond is not required.
Answer: Not Required
3. Are emailed responses acceptable? If so, do we email them to Ms. Gregory and Ms. Raffaeli?
Answer: Yes, email to both by the response date and time. (Monday, 11 November 2019 by 2:00pm MST).
4. There are no instructions in the RFP regarding how many copies of the proposal package are required by the government. Is one original copy of our proposal package sufficient?
Answer: One (1) copy is sufficient
5. Do responses to Factors 1 and 2 need to be bound separately?
Answer: If Factors 1 and 2 are the Evaluation Factors; then Factor 1 = Price and Factor 2 = Technical. And, yes they do need to be bound separately and in the same proposal
6. Will the government consider allowing additional time for submitting questions following the site visit?
Answer: Yes, RFIs updated due date will be Wednesday, 6 November 2019 by 2:00pm MST.
7. Date Stamp: Email solicitation package to yourself for date stamp or physically drop off at 610 S Aspen Street, Bldg. 1030, Rm. 120, BAFB 80011-9572 Answer: Packages physically dropped off will not be accepted. Solicitation packages must be emailed by the due date and time (MST). The email will have the date and timed stamped once it has been sent. (note: screen shot your date and time as verification of submission.)
8. Please confirm 1.41 security systems should read garage door systems and not security systems.
Answer: This refers to PWS Para:1.41. The PWS was changed to the following verbiage:
“garage doors instead of security system”. It was only referred to “security system” because closing the doors secured the facility.
9. Please confirm bid package should be priced as unit pricing for preventative maintenance per door and service should be priced as per man per hour.
Answer: Bid package should be priced as unit pricing for preventative maintenance NOT per door and service should be priced as per man per hour. (REMINDER: All CLINS to should be priced out in full dollars and no cents.
10. Emergency response service should be listed additionally as per man per hour
Answer: Emergency response service will be listed in the CLINS as Service/Emergency Calls
11. Material should be priced as cost plus markup
Answer: Material should not be priced as cost plus markup but at cost. It is in the description of the requirement as well as in the description of work, that you must provide material (see: PWS paragraph 1.2. Scope of Work).
12. Equipment should be priced as per need basis?
Answer: Equipment should not be priced as a per need basis. It is in the description of the requirement as well as in the description of work, that you must provide equipment (see: PWS paragraph 1.2. Scope of Work).
13. Please confirm doors visited yesterday are not included in bid package and service call will be placed after contract is awarded.
Answer: Doors visited at the Pre-site visit will not be included in bid package, however once awarded they will be the first service call.
14. Please confirm map will be provided with answers provided on Monday 11/4/19.
Answer: Map will be added to the revised RFP package in FBO and emailed.
15. Please confirm package bid date remains as November 6, 2019 at 12:00pm.
Answer: The revised package bid date is Monday, 11 November 2019 by 2:00pm MST.
