1. GENERAL.

This checklist is a step-by-step guide in abbreviated form for use as a reference to ensure accomplishment of selected tasks by a predeter-mined sequence procedure. The intent of this checklist is to eliminate the probability of omission of a step in the accomplishment of the intended task. The procedures contained herein are presented in the shortest practical form for use by qualified personnel and are not intended to provide full technical instructions. This checklist pro-vides, in an abbreviated form, procedures for washing/rinsing and corrosion inspection of HH-60G helicopters. These procedures are derived from, but do not replace, the detailed procedures contained in Technical Orders (TO). When malfunctions occur reference to the TO shall be made.

2. SCOPE.

This checklist does not contain all of the safety precautions, notes, cautions, or warnings in AFOSH regulations, technical orders, and local operating instructions. It is the responsibility of all personnel involved in wash operations to be thoroughly familiar with the appli-cable instructions. It is not intended that steps, notes, cautions, and warnings be read verbatim, so long as the intent of each step, note, caution, and warning is understood and accomplished. In the case of a conflict between the basic technical order and this checklist, the basic technical order shall take precedence. This checklist will be used by all task-certified personnel. This checklist does not delete any safety requirements nor introduce any unsafe procedures. All parent techni-cal order procedures will be followed. No additional tools or equip-ment are required.
