About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details an HVAC upgrade project for Building 1471 at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado, scheduled for completion by 17 September 2025. The project requires a contractor to remove and replace existing HVAC equipment, including a 7-1/2 to 10-ton condensing unit, matching evaporator coil, air handling unit, and refrigerant piping. Key requirements include using low Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerant, providing a minimum 1-year warranty on equipment, and ensuring all personnel have appropriate certifications such as a Mech IV license and EPA refrigerant handling certification.

The project has a 120-calendar day performance timeline and involves comprehensive requirements for environmental compliance, safety protocols, and site maintenance. Contractors must submit various documentation, including shop drawings, equipment specifications, wiring diagrams, operations and maintenance manuals, and warranty information. The work must be performed during specified hours (0730-1630, Monday-Friday), with strict guidelines for utility outages, work clearance, hazardous material handling, and protection of government property. The contractor will be responsible for cleaning the work site, disposing of project-generated waste, and leaving the area in a clean, workmanlike condition upon project completion.
