About this file
This document is a presentation outlining the Multi-Decision Advantage Sprint for Human-Machine-Teaming (M-DASH) "Ask Me Anything" session conducted by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) in collaboration with the ABMS CFT and 805th CTS.
The M-DASH program addresses the challenge that current Command and Control (C2) systems focus on information advantage while decision-making remains entirely human-dependent. The initiative aims to develop machine teammates that provide decision advantage capabilities through a two-week collaborative sprint involving battle management warfighters and software developers. Key objectives include using the Transformational Model (TM) to define and enrich software requirements, producing prototype/MVP-like services, and validating the TM decision function decomposition for three service areas: Perceive Actionable Entity (PAE), Match Effectors (MEF), and Generate BattleCOAs (GBC). Week 1 focuses on TM deep dives, baseline scenarios, coding, and warfighter feedback; Week 2 emphasizes progress reviews, continued development, and Human-Machine-Teaming scenario validation. Critical dates include a pre-submission AMA on October 15, proposal submission deadline of October 21 at 1700 EDT, selection notifications approximately November 4, and the M-DASH event running January 25 through February 5. Deliverables include demonstrated functional relevance, software outputs compatible with the Government Software System API using provided data schemas, traceability logs, government outbriefing presentations, and a technology survey documenting AI models, licensing, hardware requirements, and power consumption. The event operates in an unclassified environment with individual development spaces, bring-your-own-hardware provisions, commercial Wi-Fi, and local network data connectivity.

M-DASH Overview
• Problem: Our C2 systems focus on information advantage. All decision-making is still left to humans
• Collaboration between AFRL, ABMS CFT, and 805 CTS
• Battle management warfighters and software developers collaborate over two-weeks to:
• Use the Transformational Model (TM) to define, derive, and enrich software requirements for decision advantage
• Produce prototype/MVP-like services
• Validate TM decision function decomposition for service development for PAE, MEF, and GBC
• Week 1: TM deep dive, baseline battle management scenario, software coding, warfighter feedback
• Week 2: Progress check, more software coding, HMT battle management scenarios
TM-framed DASH events will help us build machine teammates that arm our C2 enterprise with decision advantage capabilities.
