JET BLAST SHIELD DISMANTLEMENT

SOLICITATION F1H3AF1012A001

DIGEST OF QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Question:

Is the concrete going to be left as it is?

Response:

The Government cannot dictate a removal method for prospective contractors.

However, it would do well for you to recall that the Apron is an active part of the overall runway complex; and the Government cannot afford gross disruptions that could interfere with the activities of the 9th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing.

Question:

Does there need to be some form of prequalification for access to the Air Force Base? As in names of list, vehicles, badging, security. In my experience, we have needed to provide the names and information of people at least 24 hours before hand in order to get prescreened. Please advise.

Response:

No prequalification is required. Please refer to the separately attached Beale AFB Access instructions. The site visit is being treated in the same manner as a request for a single day access (i.e, “pass”).

Question:

We are interested in bidding the above referenced project. The site visit is schedule for Febrauary 14, 2011. Is the bid due date remaining for Feb 16, 2011?

Response:

The proposal due date remains unchanged.

Question:

I am writing to see if there is any engineer’s estimate or budget established for this project.

Response:

There is not a budget that has been released for publication for this project.

As always, there is a Government estimate; but that is source selection sensitive information...not releasable to prospective contractors.

Question:

Is their any bonds associated with this project.

Response:

There are no bond requirements contemplated.
