About this file
Summary
This document is a State Prevailing Wage Information exhibit applicable to state and local contract opportunities. The exhibit establishes prevailing wage requirements that apply to contractors and subcontractors performing work on covered projects. The document outlines the mandatory wage rates that must be paid to workers in various job classifications, including laborers, equipment operators, carpenters, electricians, and other skilled trades. These prevailing wage rates are determined by the relevant state agency and vary by geographic location and job classification. All contractors bidding on projects subject to prevailing wage requirements must comply with the specified wage rates throughout the contract term, and failure to pay prevailing wages constitutes a material breach of the contract. The exhibit serves as a binding reference document that contractors must acknowledge and incorporate into their bid submissions.
The prevailing wage rates detailed in this exhibit represent the minimum hourly wages, fringe benefits, and other compensation that must be provided to workers. Contractors are required to maintain records documenting compliance with prevailing wage obligations and may be subject to wage and hour audits. The prevailing wage requirements apply to all workers performing services on the contract, including apprentices and trainees, though apprentices may be paid at reduced rates in accordance with approved apprenticeship programs. Non-compliance with prevailing wage requirements can result in penalties, project delays, contract termination, and debarment from future state and local contracting opportunities. Contractors should carefully review the applicable wage rates for their specific project location and job classifications before submitting their bids.
