ADVERTISEMENT NUMBER: DOT-RFP-25-5002-TIML SunRail DESCRIPTION: Central Florida Rail Corridor (CFRC) Track Improvements - Multiple Locations

DATE: 9/11/2024

1. Project 1 (Universal Crossovers) – Please clarify if the special trackwork material stored at 523 N.

Garland Avenue is panelized or loose.

Answer: Crossovers panelized except the crossover “common ties”, 15 - 23 ft long ties.

2. Project 1 (Universal Crossover) – Section 3.1.1 of the Scope of Services document notes that

Contractor shall supply “OTM”. It is assumed that this is limited to track spikes and rail anchors only. Please confirm.

Answer: correct

3. Project 2 (Rail Renewal) includes the replacement of rail through several grade crossings.

Please clarify the scope of work at these locations.

Answer: At grade crossing cut existing rail at the grade crossing welded joints and match new rail to existing grade crossing rail. Assume no transition rails are required. All rail cuts shall be staggered in accordance with the CFRC MWI 801-06 CFRC Welding Manual.

4. Project 4 (MOW Siding) shows a 700’ underdrain on the plan & profile drawing which is not mentioned in the Scope of Services document. Please clarify.

Answer: The civil work including the underdrain is complete. The Project 4 scope of work is only for the construction of the MOW Storage track – ties, rail, fasteners, ballast, etc. See

Addendum 4 for revised MP806.3 Storage Track Plan.
