About this file
This is a service and maintenance checklist document for the Speedgate B-secure 2.0 UL USA security gate system manufactured by Bavak Beveiligingsgroep B.V. The checklist provides comprehensive inspection and maintenance procedures that must be performed by trained and competent personnel who have received training from Bavak.
The checklist covers 36 numbered inspection items organized into mechanical, electrical, and safety system categories. Mechanical inspections include motor functionality, drive units, panel hinges, bearings, manual release mechanisms, and guidance systems. Electrical checks encompass photo cells, safety edges, detection loops, induction loop detectors, PCB (printed circuit board) operations, cabling, traffic lights, and electrical signals. Safety systems require verification of photocell beam interruption responses, safety edge activation within 2-second response times, and detection loop functionality. The document specifies technical parameters such as frequency inverter settings (45 Hz for gates under 13 feet, 25-45 Hz for gates over 13 feet) and standard gate movement speed of approximately 1 meter per second. Additional maintenance activities include lubrication of all moving parts, documentation of cycle counts in the logbook, rust prevention and repainting, and powder coating damage assessment. Daily user-level inspections require visual checks for proper functionality and safety provision operation. Monthly maintenance includes cleaning, guiding rail waste removal, and gate operator testing with contact reversal verification. Critical safety adjustments to force or travel limits may only be performed by Bavak-qualified technicians. All work must be documented in a logbook maintained near the installation, preferably in the control cabinet.
