About this file
This Scope of Work (SOW) document is for the Porterville Developmental Center's Automatic Sliding Door Project (PR2), detailing a comprehensive door replacement initiative. The project involves removing and replacing 6 existing sliding door systems located in various areas of the Administration building and east wing, including the main lobby, administrative areas, Room 41 hallway, and second-floor locations. The new door systems will feature motion sensor openers, key card HID reader access, panic lock down capabilities integrated with the PBX office, flush panic hardware, and clear tempered glass. Each door system will be heavy-duty, designed for continuous day and night operation, and include a key-controlled power switch to disarm and power down the doors.
The contractor will be required to perform work with minimal disruption to facility staff, maintaining strict safety protocols and compliance with industrial safety regulations. The State will be the sole judge of work acceptability, with any unacceptable work requiring immediate correction at the contractor's expense. Contractors must maintain an active telephone line, report to Plant Operations for badge verification, and adhere to specific operational guidelines, including removing any personnel deemed incompetent or disorderly by the Project Representative. The project emphasizes workplace safety, minimal facility routine interference, and professional conduct throughout the door replacement process.
