About this file

Exhibit 1 is a Project Plan Overview for the BGQ VORTAC Road Repair project located near Big Lake, Wasilla, Alaska. The project involves rehabilitating 64 miles of road on FAA-owned land, with specific grade and elevation requirements. Key technical specifications include matching existing grades at the project start and end points, maintaining vertical grade limitations of 10% favorable and 6% adverse grades, and raising the roadway centerline profile by 1'-6" above the existing elevation.

The project scope includes grading and compacting the existing roadway, installing geotechnical materials, clearing vegetation within 20 feet of the roadway edges, removing and replacing existing culverts with 18" HDPE culverts, and installing culvert marker posts. The project is set aside for small businesses, with an estimated cost between $500,000 and $1,000,000 and a projected performance period of 90 calendar days. An optional site visit is scheduled for July 10, 2025, and proposals are due by July 24, 2025, at 3:00 PM EDT.
