About this file

This is a Bid Amendment document issued by the Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks extending the closing date for a Request for Proposal (RFP) for interpretive signage and exhibits for a new visitor center facility. The original bid closing date of May 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. CST has been extended to May 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. CST. The procurement seeks qualified vendors to design, fabricate, and install comprehensive interpretive materials across five phases: research and planning, detailed design and content development, fabrication, installation, and project documentation. Deliverables include interior interpretive panels in three sizes (small up to 24" x 36", medium up to 36" x 48", and large up to 48" x 72"), interactive exhibits such as flip panels and discovery drawers, and orientation and wayfinding signage including directional signs and trail maps. All materials must comply with Americans with Disabilities Act accessibility standards and feature high-resolution, full-color graphics with UV-resistant inks. The contract term extends from the award date through June 30, 2029, with an option to renew for one additional twenty-four-month period. Deliverables must ship to the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks at 512 SE 25th Avenue, Pratt, Kansas 67124-9701 by July 30, 2026.

Bidders must demonstrate a minimum of five years of continuous active participation in the interpretive signage and exhibits industry and provide three references for similar work completed within the last five years. Pricing must be organized by project phase, including unit pricing for each exhibit category and panel size, material options with cost differentials, ADA compliance add-ons, and all-inclusive travel and shipping costs. All bidders must submit a current Tax Clearance Certificate from the Kansas Department of Revenue, an Immigration Reform and Control certification form, a Boycott of Israel form, and a Sexual Harassment form. Payment terms are Net 30 days from receipt of goods or services, with contractors required to accept payment via electronic funds transfer. A signed copy of Amendment Two must be submitted with the bid response. No bid guarantee is required, and no specific budget range or award value is disclosed.
