About this file
This is a Supplier Registration Guide for the City of Minneapolis, Minnesota, detailing the procedures for businesses and individuals to register in the eSupplier system before conducting business with the city. The guide provides step-by-step instructions for completing the registration process, which begins on the City of Minneapolis website and requires users to access the eSupplier portal through the Bidder/Payee Registration tile. Registrants must provide identifying information including a Social Security Number, EIN, or TIN; enter their business name and website; select an appropriate business type classification; and answer profile questions. The registration process also requires submission of a primary business address with city, postal code, and state information, as well as an email address. At least one contact must be added to the registration, including the contact person's first and last name, email address, phone number, and contact type, along with creation of a unique eSupplier User ID for portal access.
Registrants must select applicable sourcing categories relevant to their business to receive notifications of solicitations and bids on pertinent events. Upon completion of the registration form, users must confirm their email address and accept the Terms of Agreement before submission. After successful submission and approval by the city, registrants receive an email containing their User ID and a temporary password. The registration guide includes detailed instructions for the subsequent password change process, which occurs upon first login and requires users to create a new password through a link provided in the approval email. No pricing terms, contract amounts, or specific solicitation details are included in this registration guide, as it serves solely as a procedural document for vendor enrollment in the city's procurement system.
