About this file

This file is a vendor information exhibit from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) providing instructions for submitting solicitation responses through the DPS Online Bid Room portal. The exhibit outlines the two-step registration and access process for vendors interested in bidding on DPS contract opportunities. Vendors must first register at the DPS Online Bid Room portal to obtain login credentials, a process that may take up to two business days. Once registered, vendors can review solicitation opportunities and submit responses electronically through the system. The document emphasizes that use of the DPS Online Bid Room is optional and that all submissions remain subject to the specific requirements outlined in individual solicitation packages. Vendors are instructed to carefully review the complete solicitation package before submitting responses and to allow adequate time for the registration process to meet response deadlines, as late submissions are not accepted.

The exhibit clarifies that technical difficulties or issues related to the optional use of the DPS Online Bid Room do not constitute valid grounds for protesting a contract award. Vendors who successfully submit responses through the system will receive automatic submission confirmation, with no additional receipt confirmation required. The document provides multiple resources to assist vendors, including a vendor tutorial, user guide, frequently asked questions, and contact information for DPS Online Bid Room Vendor Support. All inquiries regarding specific solicitations must be directed to the point of contact identified in the individual solicitation package rather than to the bid room support team.
