About this file
This is Addendum No. 5 to Request for Proposal RFP-01-BCDC-26-273 issued by The Texas A&M University System Office of Procurement & VetHUB Program for the BAM Operational Communications System at the George H.W. Bush Combat Development Complex on the RELLIS campus in Bryan, Texas. The addendum, dated April 16, 2026, was issued one day before the RFP due date of April 17, 2026, and requires respondents to acknowledge receipt on the Execution of Offer (Exhibit A). The addendum provides clarifications regarding the operational infrastructure supporting the proposed communications system, specifically addressing vehicle clearance operations and network connectivity for the facility.
The addendum clarifies two critical infrastructure details relevant to system design and implementation. First, the facility currently operates a single vehicle for area clearing operations around the BAM facility, utilizing either a personal truck or side-by-side utility vehicle, with potential future expansion to two vehicles for these operations. Second, external network drops are limited with only a few allocated for future camera deployment; however, each building is equipped with numerous internal network ports located along perimeter walls and within cable trays, providing relatively easy access to cable tray ports and enabling cabling to be routed to exterior locations as needed. These specifications directly impact respondents' design and installation approaches for the IP-based communications system.
