About this file
This is a bid sheet (RFB 2024-087) from the City of Waco, Texas for a Water Utilities Fire Hydrant Maintenance Project. The project involves maintenance services for approximately 1,980 fire hydrants, including traffic control planning and implementation, servicing existing hydrants (exercising operating nuts/caps, greasing, flushing, flow testing), installing 50 fixture ID tags and street reflectors, replacing 15 missing valve box lids, painting 500 hydrants, performing various repairs on different hydrant brands (Kennedy, US Pipe, American Darling, Mueller, Clow, EJ), and replacing approximately 60 fire hydrants (20 each in grass, asphalt, and concrete settings).
The bid sheet outlines a unit price format with quantities specified for each service type. The city will provide certain materials including hydrant tags, reflectors, and replacement hydrants, while contractors are responsible for labor and other materials. Payment terms allow for a potential early payment discount if payment is made within a specified number of days after acceptance and invoice receipt, though standard payment is due within 30 days. The quantities listed may be increased or decreased based on unit prices, requirements, and approved budgeted funds during the contract period. Notably, for hydrant replacements, contractors will only provide labor as the city will supply the replacement hydrants (EJ, Clow, or American Darling brands).
