Solicitation 405-24R0020771 Statewide Tower Replacement Questions and Answers
1. In response to a question 14 about which party is responsible for applicable surveys, Addendum No 1 stated that the contractor needed to clarify which surveys were being referenced. To clarify: which party is responsible for conducting land surveys to determine grade and develop a 1A letter?
Answer: The vendor.
2. Question 28 of Addendum 1 asked about specifications for an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), to which the answer was "The SOW states the model and size of the UPS." We can find no mention of a UPS in the SOW nor in the shelter specs supplied with Addendum 1. Can you please tell us if the contractor is required to procure & install a UPS and the requisite specifications for such?
Answer: The vendor is required to procure & install a UPS. The specifications for the UPS are included on the SOW for the Goat Creek Tower Sample Project Exhibit F.10 and provided below for your convenience.
UPS
One (1) 20kVA Eaton 9PXM UPS, 1 Ph+N input/output, featuring 6 minutes of run time at full load with wall mounted Maintenance Bypass switches.
System startup includes one site trip by an Eaton technician after the UPS has been installed by vendor. The site trip includes the following services for each UPS: non-powered inspection, UPS electrical and operational checkout, full parts and labor for any remedial work required on the UPS or battery cabinets, and customer operation training. Warranty also includes remedial onsite labor, parts, and travel for the full two-year warranty period. The customer schedules warranty startup at the customers designated time.
Installation wiring and conduit per manufacturer’s instruction and the latest edition of the National Electrical Code NFPA70.
Any adjustments or testing at the final destination will be the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise provided for in writing. Vendor will, if requested, arrange to have a factory-authorized representative inspect the UPS system prior to utility power connection if requested. Any additional charges associated with this inspection will be negotiated separately.
3. If a UPS is required, we request an extension to source this specialized and costly item.
Answer: Responses due date will not be extended at this time.
