# Reference Question Response

1.

Contract Specification section 26 05 00, Paragraph 1.19, C, 6

Addendum 3 Item #3 adding the EDP-A's and transformers; the drawings EAD.01 through EAD.03. The new power into the added J-box leaves the conductors between the J-box and transformer unfused. And, the conductors from the J-box to the chiller ATS unfused. I believe two more fused disconnects are required. Please advise. This would be at all three locations, six disconnects total

Concur. The additional Safety Disconnects should be installed.

Contractor should refer to Contract Specification section 26 05 00, paragraph 1.19, C, 6: “Furnish and install fusible or non-fusible disconnecting switches or NEC approved disconnecting means for motors and equipment that are not otherwise provide with same.” The disconnects should be installed at the split where the J-box wireway is indicated.
