About this file

This is an equipment and systems inventory document for the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) operated by the Kenton County Airport Board, detailing mechanical systems across multiple airport facilities. The document provides comprehensive specifications for heating, cooling, and water treatment systems at thirteen buildings and facilities, including the Main Terminal, Concourse A, Concourse B, South Fire Station, North Fire Station, Field Maintenance Facility, Police Station, Airport Glycol Building, Terminal 3 Parking Garage, CVG Centre Offices, Miami University Oxford Airport, and CONRAC Facility. Equipment specifications include thirty-seven boilers ranging from 1973 to 2022 manufacture with capacities from 136,000 to 6,680,000 BTUs/Hr, six chillers ranging from 30 tons to 2,500 tons of capacity, thirteen cooling tower cells, and closed-loop chilled water systems. The document records water consumption data for the twelve-month period from August 2024 through August 2025, documenting 12,472,900 gallons of condenser water make-up consumption at the Main Terminal, 20,230 gallons of central chilled water make-up consumption, 1,375,000 gallons at Concourse B, and 3,127,100 gallons at CVG Centre.

The inventory correlates directly with the pending Water Treatment Services contract solicitation, for which the Kenton County Airport Board is seeking proposals due February 5, 2026 at 2:00 pm Eastern Time. The water treatment contractor will manage treatment programs across the sixteen airport buildings identified in this equipment document, providing monthly site visits, quarterly Legionella testing, annual equipment inspections, and continuous monitoring of condenser water, chilled water loops, hot water heating systems, and cooling tower systems. The contractor must employ certified water technologists and maintain laboratory capabilities within twenty-four-hour travel distance, with the contract effective from March 1, 2026 through February 28, 2029, renewable for two additional one-year periods.
