About this file
This is an Equipment and Systems Inventory document detailing mechanical infrastructure across multiple facilities operated by the Kenton County Airport Board in Kentucky. The document catalogs heating, cooling, and water treatment systems located at the Main Terminal, Concourse A, Concourse B, South Fire Station, North Fire Station, Field Maintenance Facility, Police Station, Airport Glycol Building, Terminal 3 Parking Garage, CVG Centre Offices, Miami University Oxford Airport, and CONRAC Facility. The inventory includes 32 boilers across all facilities manufactured by Weil-McLain, Bryan, Aerco, Lochinvar, and Peerless, with capacities ranging from 136,000 to 6,680,000 BTUs/Hr. The system also includes multiple water-cooled and air-cooled chillers ranging from 30 tons to 2,500 tons, cooling towers, and associated mechanical equipment. The document records annual water consumption data for condenser and chilled water systems from August 2024 through August 2025, with significant usage documented at the Main Terminal (12,472,900 gallons for condenser water), CVG Centre (3,127,100 gallons), and Concourse B (1,375,000 gallons).
The document provides specifications for refrigerant types and quantities used in chillers, including R-134a and R-123 refrigerants, and identifies the use of 40 percent ethylene glycol in ice bank storage tanks and computer room cooling systems. The inventory emphasizes the airport's cooling tower infrastructure, with detailed specifications on flow rates, temperature parameters, and operational characteristics. Several facilities operate backup or standalone chilled water systems, with Concourse B serving as a backup facility to the Main Terminal chiller plant. The document notes recommendations for system improvements, including the installation of pot feeders to heating hot water systems at Concourse A and the Police Station. This inventory supports the related Water Treatment Services contract opportunity issued by the Kenton County Airport Board, with proposal submission deadline of February 5, 2026, by providing baseline system specifications and water consumption data necessary for bidders to assess water treatment requirements across the airport's extensive mechanical infrastructure.
