About this file
This is an E-Verify Affidavit of Compliance document issued by Seminole County, Florida, establishing employment eligibility verification requirements for contractors and consultants engaged in county service agreements. The affidavit mandates that all contractors utilize the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's E-Verify system to confirm employment authorization for all new employees hired during the contract term. Contractors must also require all subcontractors to comply with the same E-Verify verification requirements under Florida Statute Section 448.095. The document applies to the Traffic Data Collection Services contract, which involves qualified firms providing traffic data collection services on an as-needed basis throughout the agreement duration.
Failure to comply with E-Verify requirements or to ensure that all employees and subcontractors are legally authorized to work in the United States and Florida constitutes a material breach of the agreement, allowing Seminole County to terminate the contract immediately without notice or penalty. Upon such termination, the contractor becomes liable to the county for all costs incurred as a result of the breach. The affidavit requires the consultant or contractor to execute the document before a notary public, providing certification of compliance with statutory obligations. No specific pricing, funding sources, or renewal options are addressed in this compliance document, which serves solely to establish the mandatory E-Verify employment verification requirements applicable to all contract performance.
