The attached preliminary plans are being furnished to aid prospective Bidders in identifying the location and type of work for this project. The project will be advertised during a period when viewing of the project may not be possible due to snow. Therefore, prospective Offerors are encouraged to view the project during fall as conditions permit. After October 10, 2016, access will be weather dependent; contact the Denali National Park and Preserve website for current road and weather conditions at http://www.nps.gov/dena/index.htm. Contact Riley Tingue at

907.683.9682 or Riley_Tingue@nps.gov. No Federal Highway Administration personnel will be available for show-me tours.

Three Bid Schedules - The work will be solicited under three alternate schedules, with different amounts of work in each schedule. One schedule will be awarded.

Schedule C consists of Schedule B work and all work from station MP 3.4 (180+00) to

MP 6.6 (350+00).

Project Location and Type of Work - All project work is located in Denali National Park and Preserve, Denali Borough, Alaska. Project work consists of reclamation, paving, striping, and signing.

The upcoming contract will require roadway aggregate to be secured from commercial sources. These commercial sources must pass a National Park Service weed inspection. NOTE: Contractors will not be allowed to use sources within the Park boundaries, including “in-holder” lands. To determine if a source is acceptable, contractors must arrange for a weed inspection this Fall.

Please provide all requests for weed inspection of sources to Wendy Mahovlic of the Denali National Park and Preserve by September 21st, 2016. She will arrange for a weed inspection to be completed by

September 9, 2016

Preliminary Plans letter approximately October 7, 2015. To schedule your inspection, contact Wendy Mahovlic, 907.683.6246 wendy_mahovlic@nps.gov.

Solicitation documents - Documents will be available during the Fall of 2016. Please monitor the FedBizOpps (FBO) site for actual date of solicitation release (www.fbo.gov). To receive automatic notification through FBO, select the “Watch this opportunity” feature and follow the steps as indicated.
