Special Contract Requirements Project: WA NPS ERFO 2009(1)-42(2), Mount Rainier Emergency Repairs
03USC04/04/08
Section 105.— CONTROL OF MATERIAL
105.02 Material Sources. Amend as follows:
(a) Government-provided sources. Delete the text of this subsection and substitute the following:
There are no Government-provided sources for this project.
(b) Contractor-located sources. Add the following:
Comply with the requirements of Subsection 107.10.
Use only commercial or other sources located outside the Park boundary. Sources on private “in-holder” lands within the Park boundaries will not be permitted.
Quarry subsurface material, that has not been exposed to weed sources, may be acceptable upon inspection by the Park. Park will inspect and approve all proposed material sources before use or transport to the Park. Notify the CO at least 7 working days in advance, to allow for park inspection of proposed source.
The following sources have been found to be weed-free in past projects, but still require Park approval for weed free. Other sources may be available as well and also require Park approval for weed free.
Glacier Northwest, White River Enumclaw, WA
Randles Sand and Gravel, Lynch Creek Quarry Eatonville, WA
105.04 Storing and Handling Material. Add the following:
Use one lane of the existing road and existing turnouts for staging areas, for storage of materials such as geotextile fabric; and for equipment parking. Confine use to the limits of existing disturbance. Repair and restore the staging areas to their original condition.
In areas where there is only one lane of the existing road remaining, stage equipment and materials so that administrative vehicles have access through the site.
