About this file
This is a Draft Statement of Work (SOW) for replacing heating boilers at Building 575, located at Joint Base San Antonio – Randolph, Texas. The project involves a comprehensive boiler system replacement, including removing the existing 300 MBH gas-fired boiler installed around 2000 and installing a new, energy-efficient, code-compliant system. The two-story administrative facility, originally constructed in 1974, requires a complete upgrade of the mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Key requirements include safely disconnecting and removing the existing boiler infrastructure, installing new hot water pumps, auxiliary components, gas and water piping, electrical wiring, and integrating the new system with the building's Direct Digital Control (DDC) system. The contractor must perform all work between 6:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, and coordinate closely with the 502d Civil Engineering Squadron. The project mandates a one-year warranty on materials and workmanship, with the contractor required to respond to any warranty issues within 24 hours of notification.
