About this file

This document outlines a federal contract opportunity for the installation of terrazzo tile in tunnels at the VA Salt Lake City Health Care System. Key details include:

  • The scope of work involves removing existing flooring and installing VA-stocked Floorazzo tiles using a wet set installation method in three tunnels (Tunnels A, B, and C). Work in Tunnels A and B must utilize weekends and after-hours to minimize disruption, while work in Tunnel C can occur during normal business hours.

  • Technical requirements specify the terrazzo tile product to be installed, adhesive and sealer products to be used, substrate testing and preparation standards, contractor qualifications and certifications, warranty requirements, and inspection/acceptance procedures.

  • The period of performance is 280 calendar days. The contractor must develop a phasing plan, provide infection control documentation, and comply with all applicable safety and installation standards.

  • Submissions are required with the bid, including price lists, product data, estimates, warranties/manuals, and documentation of installer qualifications.
