About this file
Summary
This is an informal bid documents package for Mt. San Antonio Community College District regarding a prequalification phase for the Building 4 Mail Services Remodel project located in Walnut, California. The project involves remodeling approximately 1,200 square feet of existing space to meet current staffing needs, including demolition and installation of walls, flooring, mailboxes, t-bar ceiling and panels, lighting, electrical, and data connections. This solicitation is for prequalification purposes only; contractors who successfully complete the prequalification process and meet all District requirements will receive a Prequalification Approval Letter and become eligible to participate in the subsequent bidding phase. Only firms receiving this approval letter will be invited to submit bids when the project is formally released. The District notes that any prior prequalification approvals for other projects do not apply to this solicitation, and all interested bidders, including those previously prequalified, must complete the full prequalification application with all required supporting documentation.
The bid documents package includes standard forms required for submission, including a Non-Collusion Declaration, Bid Bond (10% of bid amount), Performance Bond (100% of contract price), Payment Bond (100% of contract price), Workers' Compensation Certificate, Drug-Free Workplace Certification, Iran Contracting Act Certification, DIR Registration Verification, W-9 tax forms, vendor information forms, and a comprehensive Statement of Qualifications. Contractors must be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations and hold a current California Contractors License. The prequalification application requires submission of detailed organizational information, experience history including projects completed within the past two years, performance history addressing claims and litigation, bonding and insurance documentation, safety program details, and references. The District has established a three percent (3%) Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation goal for the project.
