About this file
This is a Construction Agreement sample document related to a prequalification phase for the Building 4 Mail Services Remodel project in California. The project involves the remodeling of approximately 1,200 square feet of existing space to accommodate current staff needs. The scope of work includes demolition of existing walls, flooring, mailboxes, t-bar ceiling and panels, and lighting, followed by installation of new walls, doors, windows, flooring, t-bar ceiling and panels, lighting, electrical systems, and data connections. This prequalification phase is designed to identify qualified contractors who will be eligible to submit bids during the subsequent formal bidding phase. Only contractors who receive a Prequalification Approval Letter from the District following successful completion of the prequalification process will be permitted to participate in the bidding phase. Interested bidders must submit a complete Prequalification Application with all required supporting documentation to be considered; prior prequalifications for other District projects do not apply to this solicitation.
The document serves as an informational reference for contract terms and conditions that will govern the subsequent bidding phase, including specifications, general conditions, and other contract documents. No specific pricing information, set-asides, funding amounts, or response deadlines are outlined in this construction agreement sample. Contractors should note that submission of prequalification materials does not guarantee approval and that only District-determined prequalified firms will be eligible to bid on the project when it is formally released.
