About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for equipment and gear relocation services at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. The contractor must relocate gear, machinery, and storage equipment from two existing warehouses (Buildings 54938/54805) to an adjacent Hangar AO facility approximately 1/4 mile away. Equipment to be moved includes sewing machines, cargo and personnel parachutes, boat motors, floatation rafts, Vidmar toolboxes, supply cabinets, printers, storage lockers, and air drop-able rescue equipment packages containing jet skis and boats. The project is managed by the Department of the Air Force Space Command for Detachment 3, with solicitation number FA252127QB028. Completion is required as soon as possible and no later than 30 days after award, superseding the original target date of November 2, 2026. A mandatory site visit is required, as the government will not provide building measurements or item dimensions; contractors must conduct all necessary measurements themselves.
The contractor must provide all labor, materials, lifting equipment, and transport vehicles, including site assessment and planning, inventory tagging and packing, equipment disassembly, safe transportation, reassembly and placement per the approved floor plan, and debris removal from both warehouses and the destination hangar. Deliverables include a relocation master plan submitted five days prior to move start, a pre-move inventory report, daily end-of-day progress reports during active moving phases, and a final completion report with post-move inventory confirmation and client sign-off. The contractor is responsible for OSHA compliance, trained personnel, and maintaining active liability insurance. Project acceptance requires all items to be safely transported and positioned with zero unresolved damages or missing items, verified through the client's final walkthrough and signed completion report.
