About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a Department of Energy (DOE) solicitation for Building 1916-T2. Key details include a tentative period of performance from 1/1/2026-4/30/2026, though this is subject to change due to a government shutdown. The solicitation will be released sometime in the winter and will be competed among all small businesses, not directed to a specific 8(a) vendor. There is no current incumbent, and no site visit will occur until the solicitation is publicly released. DOE will not disclose its cost estimation or the names of prospective vendors. The requirement is specifically for DOE Building 1916-T2 and will not involve any adjacent buildings. Vendors will have an opportunity to meet each other during an industry day, the details of which will be specified in the future solicitation.
