About this file

This is an Addendum #1 to a Food Service Management Request for Proposal issued by Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) for their Auxiliary Services department. The addendum addresses twenty-one questions and answers submitted by prospective vendors regarding the FY26-014 contract opportunity. Key operational details clarified include meal plan participation data showing enrollment across 14-week, 14-week with Friday, and 19-week plans ranging from 133 to 216 total participants across semesters from Fall 2024 through Spring 2026. Housing occupancy rates for on-campus residents range from 42% to 76% capacity across dormitories, with approximately 88 commuter students in Fall 2025 and 68 in Spring 2026. The contract requires food service management for mandatory meal plan participation by all resident students, with athletes required to participate in 19-week meal plans. CNCC owns all equipment and facilities used in the food service operation. Proposers are permitted to use the CNCC logo and campus photographs solely for proposal preparation purposes, with technical proposals suggested at thirty pages or fewer for physical sealed bids, though electronic submissions may exceed this length.

The current contractor's detailed financial information regarding retail sales, catering sales, conference sales, and operational statements are considered proprietary and confidential and were not disclosed. Current staffing levels and point-of-sale system information were similarly withheld by the incumbent vendor. CNCC confirmed no unamortized capital improvement balance exists that the winning bidder would assume. The addendum clarifies that the 2026-2027 academic calendar provides 117 Fall boarding days (August 12–December 12) and 117 Spring boarding days (January 13–May 15), with 25-35 additional optional yearly boarding days available for athletes and international students. The most recent dining service contract renewal document is referenced as an attachment to the addendum. All hiring decisions are handled by the vendor, with background checks required for all workers.
