About this file
This is a Change Order #1 issued by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) for a Task Assignment under an indefinite delivery contract with VBA Design, Inc. The change order amends Task Assignment #3 under FDEP Contract No. CN226 for professional consulting services related to the Waterfront Park project in Franklin County, Florida. The vendor contact is Victoria Williams at VBA Design, Inc., located in Panama City, Florida.
The change order extends the task completion date from December 31, 2016, to October 31, 2017, adding 304 calendar days to the project schedule with no cost increase to the Department. The original task amount of $49,809.99 remains unchanged, with the new task amount established at $49,809.99. The time extension was requested to account for insufficient construction timeframe allowance in the original assignment (3 months), extended coordination with Franklin County and project stakeholders resulting in delayed public meetings (2 months), additional coordination meetings requiring design modifications for data wiring and ports (2 months with 1 month additional design), and potential construction delays due to inclement weather (1 month). The change order was signed and approved by authorized representatives from both FDEP and the contractor on December 28, 2016.

From: Victoria Williams To: Roth, Mae Cc: Oskowis, Jim; Tiffany Castricone Subject: Time Extension for Franklin Waterfront Park Date: Tuesday, December 27, 2016 4:21:19 PM Attachments: image001.png
Good afternoon, Ms. Roth.
We hope all is well with you and that you had a great holiday weekend. We are forwarding this email to you to request a time extension to Task Assignment #3 under FDEP Contract No. CN226 through October 31, 2017, for the following reasons:
· The original Task Assignment issued by FDEP did not accurately account for the construction time frame and therefore did not provide sufficient corresponding time for VBA to provide the contractual construction support services. The estimated additional time to account for construction support services is at least three (3) months.
· Due to extended coordination requested by FDEP with Franklin County and other project stakeholders, the public meeting for the project was delayed at least two (2) months, and the public input also resulted in additional design time of at least one (1) month.
· The FDEP also requested two additional coordination meetings with Franklin County staff that delayed the design process by at least two (2) months and will necessitate additional design of one (1) month to incorporate data wiring and ports to the project scope.
· Lastly, the FDEP Project Manager has requested an additional one (1) month to account for possible construction delays due to inclement weather and change orders.
If you have any questions, or require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
We have greatly enjoyed working with you and FDEP. We are here to help in any capacity required.
Thank you and have a great day.
