About this file

The document provided is a "Claim of Business Confidentiality" form from the Utah State Archives, which can be used by contractors or private providers to identify protected records or information related to state and local government contracts. The form outlines the process for submitting a confidentiality claim under the Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA) in Utah, which allows for the protection of trade secrets and commercial financial information that could result in unfair competitive injury if disclosed. The form requires the claimant to provide details about the confidential information, the governmental entity it was submitted to, and a concise statement of reasons supporting the confidentiality claim.

The related state and local contract opportunity is for "Janitorial Services DWR Offices" for the Utah Division of Wildlife, covering cleaning services in Hooper, Utah. The contract involves Weber County and Hildale City jurisdictions within the state of Utah.

Business Request for GRAMA Business Confidentiality Claim use by contractors or private providers to identify protected records or information

Note: Utah Code § 63G-2-305(1) states that trade secrets can be protected if the person submitting the trade secret provides the governmental entity with a confidentiality claim. Likewise, Utah Code § 63G-2-305(2) states that commercial financial information can be protected if disclosure could reasonably be expected to result in unfair competitive injury to the person submitting the information, and that person has provided a confidentiality claim. Confidentiality claims are described in Utah Code § 63G-2-309.
