About this file

This document is an amendment to Section 2.5.2 Personnel Experience for the Maryland Department of the Environment's (MDE) PFAS Fire Fighting Foam Pick up and disposal contract opportunity. The amendment outlines specific personnel experience requirements that will be evaluated as part of the Technical Proposal, specifically focusing on the capability of proposed resources. The requirements include two key areas of expertise: demonstrating knowledge of PFAS and related contaminants that affect the environment, and showing breadth of knowledge in the proper transportation, handling, and disposal of PFAS and related contaminants.

The document references Section 6.2 for the detailed evaluation factor of proposed resources' capabilities, indicating that bidders will be assessed on their personnel's technical competence in managing PFAS-related environmental challenges. These personnel experience requirements are directly aligned with the project's core objective of safely removing and disposing of PFAS-containing firefighting foam from eligible fire departments across Maryland, as mandated by the George Walter Taylor Act.
