About this file

This is a Certification Regarding Lobbying form issued by the Nevada State Purchasing Division, Department of Administration, applicable to a Food Services contract opportunity with the State of Nevada. The form certifies compliance with federal lobbying restrictions and is required for the Food Services solicitation, which involves providing meal services to patients across multiple state facilities including Desert Regional Center, Northern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services, Lakes Crossing Center, Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services, and both Northern and Southern Nevada Department of Child and Family Services locations. The document serves as a prerequisite certification that must be completed and submitted by vendors as part of their bid response, with spaces provided for the solicitation number, vendor name, authorized signer information, and submission date.

The certification requires vendors to affirm that no federal appropriated funds will be used to influence government officials in connection with this contract award, and that any non-federal funds used for lobbying activities must be disclosed on Standard Form-LLL. Vendors must also ensure this certification language is included in all subcontract award documents and that all subrecipients provide equivalent certifications. Failure to file the required certification exposes vendors to civil penalties ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 per violation. This certification is a material representation of fact and a mandatory condition for entering into the transaction under section 1352 of the U.S. Code, indicating that federal funds are involved in this state contract opportunity.
