The information included in this Addendum revises, clarifies, or supplements the specifications and other provisions of the contract documents and is considered part and parcel to the Package.
New Information:
1. Through the issuance of this Addendum, the Due Date for this Solicitation is hereby extended to October 31st, 2022 at 2:00 PM (EST).
Questions/Clarifications:
1. Q. Will the info provided by Duke supply us with the information needed to determine if the electric panel providing power to the fire pump is adequate?
When is the information going to be available from Duke? We feel we cannot provide and accurate proposal without this information.
Response: Seminole County intends to initiate an electrical monitoring period through a separate procurement action in order to obtain the relevant critical electrical load information to the fire pump.
2. Q. We understand that the generator is not part of this scope of work, if the feed coming from the generator is not sized correctly for the new fire pump, the pump will not work properly. Who’s scope is it to adjust the transfer switch?
Response: It will be the awarded contractor’s responsibility to adjust the transfer switch.

3. Q. In Addendum #1, Q#8 You are stating that the bid must be from a single company. The way we are reading it can come from a GC and not from a sprinkler company.
Response: Submitted bid packages must be received from a single company which meets the minimum requirements stated within the solicitation package.
4. Q. Will the existing incoming normal power feeders tapped in the switchboard accommodate the added load of increased fire pump horsepower?
Response: It will be the awarded contractor’s responsibility to determine if the feeders are adequate for the intended load as they specified and or correct the deficiency should it be deemed necessary by them.
5. Q. The circuit breaker in the generator will need to be adjusted or upgraded to allow for the larger fire pump? A site visit with Seminole County staff will be required to remove the covers of the generator breaker enclosure to verify. This is required to provide accurate pricing.
Response: An additional site visit will be coordinated to accommodate visual inspection of the generator components.
6. Q. With increase in fire pump horsepower will a load shed module need to be installed in order to give the fire pump preference over the other loads?
Response: It will be the awarded contractor’s responsibility to determine if load shed will be required and install a module to correct the deficiency should they deem it to be necessary.
Failure to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on the submittal shall result in a determination of “Non-Responsive”.
