All fuel burn runs were conducted utilizing on board gauges.
GPH 6 min fuel burn run calculations can be conducted utilizing the following computation:
run vessel at the maximum speed for 6 min- utilize gauges to determine how much fuel was burned - add each fuel burn per engine and multiply by 10. Example for a two engine craft:
Engine 1 = 2 gal burned @ 6min. Engine 2 = 1.9 gal @ 6min. 2 gal + 1.9 gal = 3.9 gal total @ 6 min. 3.9 x 10 = 39 gal per hour.
Range computations are based on the 10% usable fuel for each vessel:
Range = Usable Fuel / GPH = Time(T) T x S = D (Range) 38' Safeboat: 360 gal / 120 gph = 3 hr 3hr x 50 kts = 150 nm 11.0.0.20130303.1.892433.887364
