Wage Determination Summary
This document is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act (SCA) for California Counties of Shasta, issued by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment Standards Administration Wage and Hour Division. The wage determination (No. 2015-5627, Revision 28, effective 8/27/2026) establishes prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits for federal service contracts performed in the designated area.
The determination includes hourly wage rates for over 200 occupational classifications across multiple occupational groups, including administrative support and clerical occupations (ranging from $16.78 to $32.71 per hour), food preparation and service occupations ($16.78 to $24.57), furniture maintenance and repair ($16.18 to $25.72), general services and support ($17.23 to $27.18), health occupations ($23.31 to $68.50), information and arts occupations ($21.37 to $40.87), information technology occupations ($18.60 to $28.55), instructional occupations ($26.55 to $51.27), machine tool operations ($32.77 to $41.46), materials handling and packing ($18.09 to $28.34), mechanics and maintenance and repair ($22.99 to $58.34), personal needs occupations ($16.50 to $23.33), plant and system operations ($24.38 to $37.28), protective service occupations ($19.16 to $57.62), recreation occupations ($16.52 to $28.95), stevedoring/longhoremen services ($28.61 to $32.77), technical occupations ($20.33 to $46.54), and transportation/mobile equipment operations ($15.40 to $35.78). All occupations receive health and welfare benefits of $5.92 per hour (or $236.80 per week) and paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave as specified. Special wage differentials apply for hazardous materials work (4 to 8 percent) and night/Sunday work for air traffic controllers. Computer professionals earning at least $27.63 per hour may qualify for exemption under specific conditions. Conformance requests for unlisted occupational classifications follow a formal process requiring contractor submission and Department of Labor review within defined timelines.
