About this file

This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the supply of crushed rock aggregate for use on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests in Arizona.

The solicitation seeks the furnishing of 2,950 tons of crushed rock surface coarse aggregate (1"-minus) conforming to Table 703-3, Gradation G specifications as the base contract line item (B1). An option line item (O.B1) for 1 ton is included, with the actual quantity to be determined by available funding upon contract award. All pricing shall be submitted on a firm-fixed-price basis per ton, and the contractor must include all federal, state, and local taxes, operating permits, and miscellaneous expenses in the quoted price. Delivery is not required; the government will arrange hauling from contractor-designated pit locations. Pit locations must be identified for both Apache County and Greenlee County and cannot exceed 35 miles from the boundary of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, specifically the Springerville and Alpine Districts. The contractor must commence work within 10 calendar days of receiving notice-to-proceed and complete all work within 365 calendar days, including site cleanup. Award will be made on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) basis, with evaluation based on technical capability (tools, equipment, training, and business practices) and proposed pricing. The government furnishes no items; all contractor resources and capabilities must be identified in the offer. Competitive pricing will establish price reasonableness, and the Contracting Officer intends to award without discussions.
