About this file
This is a Bid Bond Form for the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, related to the Hayward Park Walking Trail project (ITB-24-150). The form establishes the surety bond requirements for contractors submitting bids on this municipal infrastructure project. Contractors must submit a completed bid bond with their proposal, and any accepted bidder must execute a performance bond and payment bond for all labor and materials. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for September 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Santa Rosa County Economic Development Office in Milton, Florida. Sealed bids must be electronically submitted through the procurement portal by 10:00 a.m. on October 6, 2025, with public bid opening via Teams. The project involves construction of a shared-use path on the west side of Wadsworth Boulevard between 32nd and 35th Avenues, including a 4' to 8' wide amenity zone with xeriscape landscaping, replacement and relocation of a seventy-year-old Rocky Mountain Ditch culvert, pedestrian lighting, and enhanced bus stops with shelters.
The bid bond's penal sum is not specified in the form template provided. Surety companies must be listed on the U.S. Treasury Department's current Circular 570 and authorized to conduct business in Colorado. The City of Wheat Ridge reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive bid irregularities. The procurement encourages participation from small businesses, minority-owned businesses, women-owned businesses, and disadvantaged business enterprises, with explicit nondiscrimination policies regarding race, color, religion, national origin, disability, sex, and age. No specific budget amount or funding source is detailed in this document, though the project scope suggests significant civil infrastructure investment including culvert replacement and utility relocation work.
