About this file

This is a Bid Bond form required by the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) in Idaho for the Stoddard Road project extending from Victory Road to Overland Road (CT227-06). The bid bond serves as a financial guarantee that the principal contractor will enter into a formal contract with ACHD if awarded the project. The contractor must execute the bond concurrent with submission of their sealed proposal and, if awarded, must furnish Performance and Labor and Material Payment bonds within ten days of contract presentation, excluding weekends and legal holidays.

The bid bond is set at ten percent (10%) of the total proposal amount and binds the principal, surety, and surety agent to ACHD as obligee. The Stoddard Road project encompasses comprehensive pavement maintenance including full-depth asphalt reconstruction, curbing, guttering, sidewalks, pedestrian ramps, a multi-use path, bike lanes, bridge widening (Ridenbaugh Bridge #2080), drainage improvements, utility relocations and adjustments (electric fence, water main, sewer, fiber optic), and roadway enhancements such as pedestrian hybrid beacons, rectangular rapid flashing beacons, median islands, and roadway lighting. The surety agent's power-of-attorney must accompany the completed bond form.
